While using my Ryobi cordless secateurs I managed to take a chunk out of the blade when I hit a green metal wire stake hidden among some bamboo I was pruning, annoyed but not worried because I had already checked on the availability of spares prior to purchase. Getting online I found out that the blade I had viewed was for a previous model at about eleven pounds and that the blade for mine was a whopping twenty two pounds plus nearly six pounds p&p but as I needed it I grudgingly paid up. I really fail to see how a simple blade costs that much and the p&p rubs salt into the wounds, a really great tool but spares are far too expensive.
