How do you use a table saw?

Here's a quick step-by-step guide, which may vary slightly depending on your desired cut, materials and work environment:

Prepare your work area by mounting the saw on a stable surface, clearing any clutter and wearing safety gear such as eye, ear and dust protection.
Set the blade height and angle for your cut.
Measure and mark the cut on your workpiece.
Position the wood on the table, aligned with the fence for accuracy.
Power on the saw, allowing the blade to reach full speed before gently feeding the wood into it. You can use a push stick to avoid getting too close to the blade.
After completing the cut, let the blade come to a complete stop before removing and inspecting the piece.
Turn off your bench saw and clean up the area.

Can a table saw cut angles?

Yes, you can use a table saw to make accurate angled cuts for corners, framing and more. Our cordless table saw has a simple bevel tilt lever to adjust bevel angles from 0-45°.

How to avoid kickback on a table saw

Here are some tips for avoiding kickback:

Use a riving knife to stop the material closing up and catching behind the blade.
Keep your rip fence aligned and parallel to the blade to prevent twisting or binding.
Maintain a proper blade height above the cutting material to avoid grabbing the wood aggressively.
Use a push stick or block to keep control of small or narrow pieces.
Feed the material steadily, ideally cutting with the grain.
