Christmas Giveaway Terms & Conditions:

1.    The Promoter

1.1 The RYOBI Giveaway Promotion (“ Promotion”) is promoted by (“Promoter”) whose registered office is at Suite A, Second Floor, Marlow International, Parkway, Marlow, SL7 1Y.

1.2 Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of this Agreement. Entrants will be subject to the terms of use of the Ryobi website found here https://uk.ryobitools.eu/ and the participant’s personal data will be processed in accordance with the Promoter's privacy statement available at https://uk.ryobitools.eu/footer-links/privacy-policy/.

2. Eligibility     

2.1 This Promotion is open to any resident of the UK over the age of 18 years at the date of entry.

2.2 Employees, officers and directors of the Promoter and its affiliated companies or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the Promotion or helping to set up the Promotion shall not be permitted to enter the Promotion, and any such entries will be deemed as void.

2.3 Entrants are responsible for ensuring that they are entitled to participate and proof of eligibility may be required and prizes withheld until Promoter is fully satisfied the above criteria are met.

2.4 There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this Promotion; however, internet connection and mobile data rates may apply to the entrant. The cost of accessing the Promotion website will be dependent on the entrant’s individual internet service provider and shall be the responsibility of the entrant only. The Promoter holds no liability towards entrant costs.

2.5 By entering this Promotion, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3. How to enter

3.1 The Promotion begins at 07:00 GMT on 11/12/2024 and ends at 23:59 GMT on 17/12/2024 (the “Promotion Period”).

3.2 To participate in the draw, entrants must subscribe to the Ryobi newsletter via the promotion form which will be displayed to on the website. For the avoidance of doubt, individuals may join the mailing list and subscribe the newsletter without being a part of the Promotion through the following link https://uk.ryobitools.eu/competition/christmas-jumper-giveaway/  

3.3 To subscribe to the newsletter, entrants must follow the instructions set out below;

i.          All entrants must enter their email address and accept the subscription to the database, as well as the T&C’s and privacy policy of the Promotion by populating their information within the promotion form via the link https://uk.ryobitools.eu/competition/christmas-jumper-giveaway// (“Promotion Form”).

ii.         All entrants shall then be sent a verification link to the email address provided, to be validated within 24 hours. Entrants must validate their email address before they can participate in the Promotion.

iii.        Once an entrant has verified their email address, they will have their email address put into a database.

3.4 Entrants can only sign up once for their entry. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups, syndicates or the like will not be accepted. We will not accept cheating in any form including the use of macros or other automated means of entry, masking of identity by manipulating IP addresses, using any false identity or any other behaviour that falls outside the spirit of the promotion (to be determined at our absolute discretion) . Any entrant found to be cheating will be excluded.

3.5 Entrants that attempt to submit multiple entries by unsubscribing and resubscribing to the newsletter via the Promotion Form will not be accepted.

3.6 Promoter accepts no liability for entries not received, deleted, altered or that are invalid, regardless of the reason.

4. Prizes and Winners Announcement

4.1 There is one prize pack for one winner, 1 x RYOBI Christmas Jumper, 1 x 18V ONE+™ Cordless Combi Drill & Jigsaw Starter Kit (2 x 2.0Ah) details in Annex 1. The Promoter is not responsible for any taxes which may be due with regard to the prize.

 4.2 The winner will be randomly drawn using a computer-generated selection from all valid and correctly completed entries during the Promotion Period. The prize will be delivered within thirty (30) working days from the date the winner provides their postal address to the Promoter. In any event the prizes shall be delivered no later than 10th March 2025. 

4.3 The winner will be notified via Email, where the Promoter will request a delivery address for sending the prize. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within fourteen (14) days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select a replacement winner. The Promoter shall have no liability for winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information.

4.4 Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this Promotion and no cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of similar characteristics without giving notice.

4.5 The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Promotion will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

 

5. Data Protection

Personal data relating to the entrants will be used for the purposes of this Promotion in accordance with the current GDPR legislation and the Promoter’s Privacy Statement found at https://uk.ryobitools.eu/footer-links/privacy-policy/. The Promoter reserves the right to contact all entrants to verify their personal data. For the avoidance of doubt, any entry made in relation to the Promotion as set out at Clause 3 will be deemed to have given consent for the Promotor to process all personal data as defined under Art.4 (1) General Data Protection Regulation 2016/ 679.

6. General

6.1 Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Promotion and these terms and conditions without notice at any time. Any changes to the Promotion will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Promoter.

6.2 The Promotion and these terms and conditions will be governed by UK law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UK.

6.4  If any provision of these terms and conditions are held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.

6.5 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or affiliates will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
